Mobile Hotspot Lending

  • hotspots may be borrowed for 14 days by adult (18+ years) Tenafly Library card holders

  • hotspots may not be renewed

  • hotspots must be returned to the Tenafly Library bookdrop only

  • hotspots must be returned in the case with the original charger ($15 fee for lost charger)

  • data will be turned off for hotspots kept longer than 14 days

  • replacement fee for a hotspot is $100

Mobile Self-checkout - Introducing meeScan

Bypass the lines at the Circulation Desk.

Use meeScan to check out your own materials.

 

  1. Download the FREE meeScan app from your app store. NOTE: app only works inside the library building.

  2. Register your library card.

  3. Use the phone on your camera to scan the the barcode of the items you wish to take home.

  4. Finish your transaction to get an email checkout receipt.

You are welcome to come to the Circulation Desk to check out your items but remember to stand 6 feet from other patrons.

Auto Renewal

For your convenience, you will be notified via email or text message when your items have been automatically renewed.

 

If someone is waiting for your items or you have already renewed them the maximum number of times, they will NOT be renewed and you should return them to the library.

 

Sign up for email or text notifications to easily keep track of due dates.

Call or stop by the library to change your notification preferences.

Or go to bccls.org and log into your account.

  1. Click on contact information and preferences

  2. Scroll down to "My preferences for receiving notifications"

  3. Use the dropdown menu to change your preferences to "Email Address" or "TXT Messaging".

  4. Click on "Submit Change Request".

Laptops 

Ten laptops are available to adults 18 and up for in library use.

Notary Public Service

Notary Public Service is available as a courtesy to Tenafly Residents.  Others may use the service at a fee of $2.50 (cash only) per signature (Notary Seal). Please note that Notarial Law varies from state to state.   

 

Note the following:

  • You must sign the document IN THE PRESENCE of a notary. Do NOT sign your document before arriving at the library.

  • Please bring a photo ID with you.

  • You must bring your own witnesses. Notaries cannot act as witnesses and library staff members will not act as witnesses.

Before coming to the library, please call 201-568-8680 to ensure a Notary is on duty.

Printing

Color or black and white printing is available from our internet public computers. Mobile printing from your device can be accessed from the printer icon on this page. Printing costs are $0.10 per page for black and white and $0.30 per page for color. First page is free.

Public Computers

Twelve public computers are available for use at the library. Each patron is given 1 hour of computer/internet access. Time can be extended if no other patrons are waiting to use the computers. Computers shut down 15 minutes before closing.

Scanning

Scan documents and photos. Please bring a flash drive to store your digital scans.  See a Reference LIbrarian to access this service.

WiFi

Login is not required to access our unsecured “Tenafly Library” network. Information sent to and from your device can be captured by anyone else with a wireless device and the appropriate software.  WiFi access turns off 15 minutes before closing.

Print from your device. Use the library's printer to print a document from your mobile device or laptop.
