Beginning 10/8/2026, all Libby users must enter their library password to either start or continue borrowing econtent.

  1. You will be prompted to verify your card the next time you try to borrow an item on Libby.

  2. Enter your library account number and (this is your BCCLS password).

  3. Once. you are signed in you'll get a success message.

 

Once you enter your password during this update, the app stays logged into your account.

Discover Kanopy in Libby

Kanopy displays in the Extras section of the Libby app. After selecting Kanopy in Libby, you will be directed to the Kanopy platform to learn more and get started. (Tenafly Library cardholders only.)

If you have already been using Kanopy, you can contiue to do so. You do not need to use Libby to use Kanopy.

  1. Download the LIbby app from you app store.

  2. In Libby, follow the prompts to find your library and sign in with a valid library card.

  3. Browse our collection and borrow a book or audiobook or open a magazine.​

  2. Select the menu button in the top-right corner and go to My Account > My Libraries.

  3. Select Re-enter your login information under the library name.

  4. Enter your library card number and  password.

  5. Select Save.

Beginning 10/8/2026, Tenafly Library Hoopla users must enter their library password to either start or continue borrowing econtent.

To change library settings on Hoopla website:

  1. Note: Hoopla refers to this as a PIN, but it may be your library account password.

  2. Log in and click or tap the Settings icon.

  3. Click or tap Settings.

  4. Confirm you have selected your library system.

  5. Re-enter your library card number and library account password.

  6. Click or tap Save.

​To change library settings on Hoopla app:

  1. Log in and tap the Settings icon.

  2. Scroll down to Library and confirm you have selected your library system.

  3. Re-enter your library card number and library account password.

  4. Tap Save.
