Fill out this form and we'll email you a list of 3 to 4 books selected just for your child. Please allow at least 3 days for our librarians to compile a list of books for you.

Expand your child's reading selections with one of the series shown below.  Click on the book to place a request for the first book in each series. Interest and reading level generally for 4th graders and up.

Just push a button and listen!

​

​These read-a-long books enable children to listen to an audio recording directly from a printed book – no computer, no tablet, no phone.  The books have an audio reader attached to the front cover of the book,  controlled by a push button, which allows your child to listen and read along.  

​

Genre of the month club 2019 - 2020

​​

 

  • Adventure - action & excitement, element  of danger, lead character is often clever

  • Animal Stories - fact books and stories

  • Biography - the story of a notable person's life written by another person (autobiography self-written account)

  • DIY & Crafting - Do It Yourself (DIY) - learn to make it on your own

  • Fantasy - magic or other supernatural elements as a main theme or setting

  • Graphic Novels - a novel in comic form

  • Historical Fiction - a story set in a real time in history - may be based on real people and events

  • Humor - a made up story written to make a reader laugh

  • Poetry - collections of poems from one poet and anthologies of poems from several poets

  • Science Fiction - includes descriptions of science and technology (real or made up) of the future
