Download READsquared app to your phone (iphone or android) if you’d like or simply record your progress from a computer at tenaflylibrary.readsquared.com/.
All children and teen participants keep track of books read at tenaflylibrary.readsquared.com (or use the app) Adult participants can use a paper GENRE BINGO form instead of READsquared. Adults do NOT earn points toward raffle tickets.

1 book = 1 bead for necklace (prek-grade 5)

1 extra raffle ticket for each additional 300 points. Maximum 1 prize per participant. (kids and teens only)
Upon registration, children (grades PreK to grade 5) receive a necklace and take-home bead tracker. Readers earn colored beads by reading different book genres. Return to the library with your bead tracker to claim beads and get a new bead tracker.

Clean Community Workshop
Saturday, July 16, 10:30 am - noon
Families with children ages 8+
With the help of an enviroscape, participants in this hands-on workshop will model how litter dropped far away from water makes its way into the water. After a community clean up around the library and Tenakill Brook, you'll decide if we're doing a good job of protecting our water.

Clean Community Workshop

Families with children ages 8+, teens, adults
Learn how pollution far away from water gets into the water plus participate in a Community Clean Up. Are we doing a good job of protecting our water?
You'll be volunteering your time to help in this clean up effort so we'll give you a certificate of participation that documents time spent on this project.
Come dressed to get dirty. We'll provide gloves and receptacles for garbage collected.

*Japanese Sashiko Embroidery
Saturday, June 25 at 2 pm
Sashiko is a Japanese folk-art that had its origins in Edo period Japan, and has evolved over centuries from a frugal necessity into the decorative art so cherished today. In this beginners workshop, you'll make one drink coaster using decorative Sashiko stitches. All materials will be supplied. No experience necessary.
